The Big Screen Race

Throughout the years we’ve all witnessed some epic car scenes on the big screen, but have you ever wondered who would win if your favourite automobiles went head-to-head?

Well LeaseCar have, in their latest campaign #MovieCarRace we see some of the most iconic cars from the big screen compete to be crowned the greatest movie car. You can watch the video below to see the line-up and find out which vehicle is the winner.

The winner was determined by acceleration speed, but there are quicker cars out there so we’re asking what should be the next movie car? Take a look below for our line-up of movie cars that will put the others to shame, with acceleration levels from 2.6 to 2.8 seconds these cars were made for the movies.

2.The Ferrari F12 TDF

This supercar goes from 0 – 60mph in just 2.8 seconds which is 1.8 seconds faster than the Nissan Skyline that came in first position! We can just imagine James Bond travelling down the Cote d’Azur in this dream car. Although we kind of like the Aston too.

Electric cars are also quicker than ever with supercharged motors and their own Formula E spot, they are on the rise. That’s why our next cars look at the electric line.

3.Tesla Model S P90D

This electric vehicle is just as fast as the Ferrari with 2.8 seconds to get to 60mph! Although electric, nothing’s holding this car back from the open road. When it comes to a movie, we’d think it’s more suited to The Wolf of Wall Street.

4.Rimac Concept_One

With four electric motors and 1073bhp you know this is a fast car that could beat the Ferrari and Tesla in a drag race, reaching 62mph in just 2.6 seconds. This has got to be one of the fastest accelerations.

We’re sure there are plenty of vehicles out there that could make it onto the leaderboard but for now, here’s how our leaderboard looks as we enter a new world of movie cars…
